When we are reconciled to Father God through the death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ, we inherit the responsibility of representing our Father’s character and interests in the earth. Part of our stewardship of His interests is demonstrating His spirit of generosity through us. The cornerstone of that generosity is the tithe. The word ‘tithe’ means 10%. Scripture asks us to demonstrate our faith in Him as our provider by voluntarily giving 10% of our income to the place where we receive our spiritual encouragement. The Father desires to demonstrate His faithfulness in response to our faithfulness.
