Marketplace Discipleship
In this sermon, Brandon Nickisch teaches on representing our heavenly Father in our marketplace – wherever the Lord has placed us, we can accurately represent Him, and in fact all of creation waits for us to do so. Based in Nehemiah 3, where Nehemiah the Cupbearer to the Persian King returns to Jerusalem to rebuild its long-crumbled walls and gates, Brandon shows how the city gates were more than just doorways. Rather, they were where the life of the city was carried out: the marketplace, the social centers, and the ruling centers of the city. Nehemiah’s task of rebuilding the gates was critical to restoring Jerusalem, just as our representation of the Father in our own marketplace is critical to restoring our own nation.
