Intensive Caring

January 2 - 16, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm  |  Our Father's House Assembly of God

45020 Patuxent Beach Road, California, MD, USA

Our Father’s House has long been a hospital for the hurting and we have identified some hurting folks that we want to help. Our community has 85 staff members at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital on the COVID unit who have been serving our community tirelessly and at great personal cost for nearly 2 years. When the pandemic first began, our health care providers were rightly held up as heroes, but those same heroes are now often forgotten and uncared for as the weight of this season has pressed down on us all. We want to bless each of these precious neighbors with a $10 gift card and a note of gratitude and encouragement, and we need your help.

Several of our ministries are already participating (Riversong Christian Learning Center, Celebrate Recovery, Healing Hearts Prayer Ministry), but we need your help too as we are looking for enough sponsors to bless each and every one of the 85 individuals who work in the COVID unit. How does this work?

If you attend OFH in person, you will find a table in the lobby with blank thank you cards, Fill it in with thanks, encouragement, and a blessing. Then put the finished cards in the box on the table. Don’t think well on your feet? We will have a few examples you can use, but you’re also welcome to take the card home and return it any time the church is open.

2.) If you attend OFH online, you can send your thank you note via email to be transcribed. Send your note to Volunteers are standing by!

3.) Donations can be made via cash or check, (put in an envelope, indicate ICU Caring, and place in the offering box at the rear of sanctuary). Donations can also be made online: We will be purchasing gift cards from local businesses near the hospital (The Slice House, SOF Market, Social Coffeehouse).

Sponsor one, two, or more of these heroes! Intensive Caring runs from January 2nd to January 16th so we have two weeks to make this happen.
